Business Insider reports that Anthropic will anchor a new AI data-center campus in Hawesville, Kentucky under a 20-year lease with TeraWulf. The former industrial site is expected to generate about $19 billion of contracted revenue over the initial term and reach roughly 401 megawatts of capacity by early 2028. TeraWulf, which shifted from bitcoin mining into AI infrastructure, says the lease validates its power-sourcing and data-center strategy.
Key details: The campus is planned for a 750-acre former Century Aluminum smelter site, TeraWulf says the lease is expected to produce about $19 billion in initial-term contracted revenue, The site is expected to begin partial operations in the second half of 2027.
