Meta rolls out Muse, a new AI image generator

TechCrunch reports that Meta has launched Muse, a new AI image generator built by Meta Superintelligence Labs. The tool is available free through the Meta AI app, Instagram Stories, and WhatsApp, and Meta is also adding a feature that lets users tag public Instagram photos as source material for AI-generated images unless they opt out. Muse Video is still in development. The launch is both a product story and a policy story because it turns public social photos into a visible AI remix surface.
